The wethers from Joie De Vivre are castrated at an older age (around 6 months) to help reduce the risk of urinary stones. The surgical castration is performed by a veterinarian during a brief general anesthesia to avoid pain during the procedure, this is then followed up with pain medication to keep the boys comfortable. Their price includes surgical castration, vaccines, deworming, and disbudding. Cost of wethers is $350 for a pair or $200 each. Goats will only be sold individually to homes who already own goats.

Sales agreement
By placing a deposit or purchasing an animal from Joie De Vivre Nigerians, you have indicated acceptance to the following agreement and terms.

Any reserved kid must be paid in full by the time buyer is notified that the kid is ready for pickup. All kids are bottle raised so pick-up will be planned after weaning, typically around 8-12 weeks, unless other arrangements are made to send the kid home as a bottle baby.  If the kid is still not paid for within four weeks of notification that it is ready for pick up any previous payments will be forfeited and non-refunded.

When purchasing a mature animal the non-refundable deposit of will hold your purchase for 2 weeks or another mutually agreed upon time to allow transport planning. If the Buyer does not pick up within 2 weeks of the agreed upon date a charge for boarding of $2 per day will be added to the total purchase price. All boarding fees must be paid before the goat leaves the property.

All goats will be sold with American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) registration. Upon confirmation of payment in full Joie De Vivre Nigerians will promptly transfer ownership and registration to the buyer.

Shipping and transportation is at the buyers expense - all expenses, including shipping, travel crate, veterinary health check, health certificate, and any further testing (required by you or the state you live in) are the buyers financial responsibility.

Once an animal is sold and leaves the farm we cannot guarantee it's future health, growth, production or quality. Our goats are healthy when they leave the farm. However, because we can not control the stress of shipping and the animal’s management and environment after it leaves our care, we cannot offer further health guarantees.

We guarantee the fertility of our breeding animals and will replace an infertile doe or buck, as outlined in ADGA guidelines. A statement from a veterinarian will be required to establish that the infertility is of genetic origin.

Joie De Vivre Nigerians reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation/sale at any time, and a full refund of any payments will be returned to buyer.

In the event the buyer chooses to sell a Joie De Vivre goat in the future, we request first right of refusal. In the case of a future sale the buyer agrees to notify  Joie Vivre Nigerians two weeks advance notice prior to advertising said animal for sale to allow Joie De Vivre the option of first right of refusal.

When animal is picked up, we only accept payment in cash, unless alternative arrangement is made to use PayPal. Deposits are accepted through PayPal or check (must clear bank before animal leaves the property). All sales are final.
